Across the pond, our American cousins are going ga-ga over newborn photography. While still relatively new over here in the UK, capturing a baby in his or her first days is becoming increasingly popular in the US. It is a wonderful way for parents of preserving the memories of those precious little details in a unique and artistic way – the perfect little hands and feet, sleepy eyes, squishy lips, swirling crowns of hair!
The Today Show recently featured a segment on newborn photography – it is a great watch for those of you currently considering a newborn session, who are unsure of what to expect. While I would say that my personal style in capturing this age is more natural and less reliant on props than the (very talented!) photographers featured in this video, many of the aspects and considerations very much apply to what I do.
