It was Autumn, but it was still pretty agreeable out there. (Well, apart from the rain. Ha!) Little Molly wasn’t so sure about me at first but, with the help of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, we became great friends and captured some of my favourite outdoors portraits of 2011. Thank you, little lady – everything about you was adorable, even the very strong headed “NO!”s that made me smile – coming from such a little person!

Beautiful Olivia was 5 weeks old at the time of her session, and she was simply one of the easiest, sweetest babies I have ever photographed! Here are some of my favourites from our great day together at her family home in Swindon.

We then stepped outside on a gorgeous sunny afternoon for a few outdoorsy photos of Olivia’s beautiful family.

Now that we are *definitely* in the throes of winter, it is wonderful to look back at one of my most colourful autumn photo sessions of the year. 10-month-old Lyla and her Mummy and Daddy were just incredible – we had *the* best time together, the morning just went so quickly. I just adore these natural portraits of them just being themselves in the autumn sunshine! Thanks guys – it was a real pleasure to meet you.

Then, back home for a mini shoot of Lyla in her gorgeous Christening dress, and just chillaxing with her toys

I met little Oisín and his Mummy and Daddy a few weeks ago for an outdoors photo session, with the purpose to capture some natural portraits and expressions for this lovely young family. With a beautiful location all to ourselves, we took our time playing and exploring, and came away with a perfect set of images!

Molly and her mama travelled a long way for this session, so we were determined to make it work despite a day of very mixed weather! And the rain certainly didn’t dampen our spirits on the day – I love the pure joy of this moment between mummy and baby. And yes, both rain and sunshine in the background. I did say it was a funny day

Sicily, Summer 2011 – Our Holidays Winchester, Southampton, London Family and Children’s Photographer

If you follow this blog, you may have noticed a certain lack of entries as of late. I am still most definitely around and working very hard for my lovely clients, whose beautiful portraits will grace this blog once again in the next few days! But before resuming normal service, I wanted to share some images from our trip to Sicily last month. My eyes and heart are still full of the sunshine, sea and warmth of my old home. Isn’t it funny how, as you get older, you get to appreciate more and more the things you took for granted (almost snubbed!) as a child? Anyhow, I feel incredibly fortunate to come from such a spectacular part of the world, and love that my children enjoy visiting the places that are so familiar to me and that hold so many beautiful memories.
