It was Autumn, but it was still pretty agreeable out there. (Well, apart from the rain. Ha!) Little Molly wasn’t so sure about me at first but, with the help of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, we became great friends and captured some of my favourite outdoors portraits of 2011. Thank you, little lady – everything about you was adorable, even the very strong headed “NO!”s that made me smile – coming from such a little person!

On a truly gorgeous sunny day last weekend, I met one of the cutest little families EVER. 10-month-old Lyla and her mummy and daddy came out for a lovely walk in the fresh air – we immortalised a leisurely explore around the woods near their home in Aldershot. Beautiful light and beautiful people – once again, I’m a lucky little photographer indeed

Here’s just one little teaser, one of my favourites from the day – Miss Lyla giving out a huge smile while looking out at the leaves swaying in the breeze all around us.

Sicily, Summer 2011 – Our Holidays Winchester, Southampton, London Family and Children’s Photographer

If you follow this blog, you may have noticed a certain lack of entries as of late. I am still most definitely around and working very hard for my lovely clients, whose beautiful portraits will grace this blog once again in the next few days! But before resuming normal service, I wanted to share some images from our trip to Sicily last month. My eyes and heart are still full of the sunshine, sea and warmth of my old home. Isn’t it funny how, as you get older, you get to appreciate more and more the things you took for granted (almost snubbed!) as a child? Anyhow, I feel incredibly fortunate to come from such a spectacular part of the world, and love that my children enjoy visiting the places that are so familiar to me and that hold so many beautiful memories.

Yesterday I tried out some new equipment with my beautiful friend A. We went down to the South Bank and took advantage of London’s unique cityscape to craft some punchy urban portraits.

Working alongside a swarm of curious tourists on a balmy spring day did present some challenges, but we came away with exactly what we wanted!

This weekend’s shoot was with little T and B, whom I’ve had the pleasure of photographing before. The weather is now getting milder after the cold snap. After being cooped in for a week both the children and the parents were only too glad to go for a walk in the countryside and observe the first signs of spring appearing here and there. The children saw that the geese have returned from their winter holidays along with the first snowdrops and crocuses of the season. We all enjoyed the first hint of warm spring sunshine!

Snowed In & All Snowed Out! Basingstoke, Hampshire, Berkshire Family and Children’s Lifestyle Photographer

2009 will go on record as one of the snowiest ever here in South East England. Schools were closed, roads covered in ice, cars buried under heaps and heaps of floury white snow. And most of all, children building snowmen and having snowball fights at every street corner!

My little G was no exception. We ventured out together for a snow walk and had a great time frolicking in the snow together. She thought the snow tasted delicious and she made a mean snow angel

Last weekend, the H family and I took a leisurely stroll in the park to capture some natural portraits of their gorgeous little 1-year-old boy, Mr O. We were very lucky – after a couple of days of near continuous rain, we had a break in the weather and enjoyed a morning of winter sunshine – my favourite lighting of all. Mr O had a great time running around – and by the end of it he couldn’t help but fall fast asleep (much to the delight of Mum and Dad)!
