Here’s a lovely session that slipped the net, as it were! Warm end of October sunshine, Kew Gardens and a beautiful family that travelled all the way from Texas to visit the UK. My brief – to capture them among some British architectural landmarks, on the occasion of baby Anorah’s first birthday.

Now that we are *definitely* in the throes of winter, it is wonderful to look back at one of my most colourful autumn photo sessions of the year. 10-month-old Lyla and her Mummy and Daddy were just incredible – we had *the* best time together, the morning just went so quickly. I just adore these natural portraits of them just being themselves in the autumn sunshine! Thanks guys – it was a real pleasure to meet you.

Then, back home for a mini shoot of Lyla in her gorgeous Christening dress, and just chillaxing with her toys

After a busy year and a manic run-up to Christmas, I have been really enjoying a few weeks off – tidying up loose ends and spending more time with my beautiful little girls. It has been some time since I shared any photos of them, so I am taking the chance today! Here’s my youngest, 2.5 years young and very, very cheeky It was a rainy day so I thought it would be a great time to shoot a few in her teeny tiny bedroom. These images are just so ‘her’. They warm my heart and bring out the sunshine on a rainy day like today!

You’ve met little T a few weeks back, finally I am back to post some more from his one year/family session! As I mentioned in my earlier post, this is the second time I visit this family for their portraits, and both times they had me completely won over. Why? Because I love their spirit, their simplicity and cheer, and the fact that neither the children, nor mum and dad, ever take themselves too seriously Z and P, thanks again for a wonderful morning shooting your gorgeous babies, and for introducing me to yet another picturesque part of Hampshire!

Miss G is turning five in December, and I just cannot believe what a big girl she’s turned into! One of the best things about her growing up is that she’s a lot happier to ‘be the star’ in front of the camera these days and no longer shying away from me. So off we went on a casual explore in the open land just behind our local Argos (of all places!) so I could capture a few of her, just being herself. We only had a quick half hour before we lost all light, but we managed a good run around (and much hilarity ensued when mummy stepped into *something* a naughty doggie left behind!)

So, to my sweet little G – here you are in all your beauty, just a few weeks before your fifth birthday. Love, Mummy xxx

These two beautiful little girls were a a delightful mix of mischief and sweetness. They were a total pleasure to shoot (just look at the expressions on those little faces!) but they gave me a full and total workout – who needs personal trainers, eh

A special thank you to Mum and Dad for suggesting these stunning countryside locations near Maidenhead for our session, they were a perfect backdrop for these autumnal portraits and it’s obvious that the girls had a great time exploring!

A Fun Autumn Family Session!Basingstoke, Reading, Newbury Family Photographer

Early October, the leaves are turning red and starting to fall. The air is fresh, clean but not cold. Can you tell I just *love* shooting outdoors in the Autumn! This beautiful family couldn’t have chosen a better time for their portraits. Little C really enjoyed his walk out in the pretty parkland – we kicked some leaves, threw some rocks in the water, sampled the local blackberries, all the while taking some stunning photos. Thank you to the P family – I hope you love your pictures as much as I do!
